Course Number: RELS 1085
RELS 1085 is designed to give you an overview of the history, philosophy and mission of The Summit Lighthouse. You will explore the lives and offices of the founders, Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet, and analyze how they have set the stage for its deeply spiritual nature and mystery-school environment. You will gain insight into how spiritual sponsorship is foundational to the mission, vision, operations of this organization. You’ll review its financial structure, its various branches and levels of membership and the relationship between The Summit Lighthouse and Church Universal and Triumphant. You also will learn how this worldwide organization is governed at the headquarters and local levels.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to confidently answer the question, “What is The Summit Lighthouse?”
Hours per week: Students should plan to set aside 5–6 hours per week to complete their weekly course work. This course consists of eight units and students are expected to complete one unit per week.
